USE YOUR EXPERTISE TO PROVIDE SKILL TRAINING

Certificates are a great way to offer a series of integrated courses centered around a theme or specialization that can be completed within a year. They provide students with a shorter program than a full degree but allow them to access the knowledgeable faculty in your department.

Certificate programs can provide greater flexibility for students and allow them to upskill or focus on a concentration for career growth and new employment opportunities. Whether you’re looking to support your current program or develop something new, we’re here to help as you grow and evolve your program.

Service Levels and Packages

We’ve identified two types of models for our credit certificate programs: Affiliated and Standalone. This distinction is specific to Continuum’s model and unrelated to the Graduate School’s formal graduate certificate credential. Both affiliated and standalone certificates can be graduate certificates.

Each model provides you with a Partner Success Lead (PSL) as your primary liaison to Continuum, who can answer all service-related questions, support and troubleshoot issues, and consult on new program development.

You can review your options each year and determine whether to update your service selections. Service level decisions occur around the start of each academic year.

Affiliated

Affiliated certificates are a series of courses centered around an area of study or specialization. These certificates share courses with a fee-based degree, enabling certificate students to learn alongside degree students and allowing them to apply their graduate credits toward an existing master’s degree or earn the certificate as a standalone credential. Because of curriculum and course overlap, affiliated certificate services must align with your degree service selection (Core or Complement).

Standalone

Standalone certificates are a series of integrated courses built around a common theme that do not share courses with a fee-based degree. Continuum charges a flat rate for each standalone certificate to support the minimum required services for managing your programs. For all our certificate programs, we manage course and student information in our databases as well as provide registration and financial support.

ADD-ON MARKETING SERVICES

You can choose two marketing add-on options for certificates: full-service marketing or search marketing, allowing customization for the unique needs of your program.

FULL SERVICE MARKETING

Comprehensive enrollment, marketing and web support. Programs are provided with a certificate website page that hosts all program information and applications. Continuum will manage email subscription, information session RSVPS and admission/registration communication. Dedicated enrollment coaching staff work with prospective certificate students during their application process. Programs can opt for media spend and Continuum will implement a search campaign.

SEARCH MARKETING

Your program will receive access to Continuum search marketing services and be assigned a marketing manager to support the campaign. You’ll allocate funds toward marketing and Continuum will design and implement search marketing campaigns. Afterward, we’ll provide a wrap-up report to assess the campaign’s success.
